A Local Lawyer in Every School
ALLIES (A Local Lawyer in Every School) is an alliance of key stakeholders in the legal profession and education sector, with the aim to bring together lawyers who are school governors, and encourage other lawyers to consider becoming governors. The organisations working together in ALLIES can be found on the about ALLIES page. The initiative is coordinated by LawWorks.
The School Governors' One Stop Shop (SGOSS) is a key member of ALLIES and provides this dedicated page on behalf of the cross-sector initiative. You can find information here:

SGOSS on behalf of ALLIES provide a dedicated application process for lawyers who are seeking school governor vacancies. SGOSS then assist in finding suitable places for lawyers in schools that need governors. You also see priority vacancies, and find further information on SGOSS at the main SGOSS website.
If you are already a school governor, we would be grateful if you completed the online ALLIES audit which aims to help ALLIES understand the present picture of where lawyers are governors, and to support future projects.
