The School Governors’ One-Stop Shop (SGOSS) is a charity that recruits volunteers to become governors in schools across England. We work in partnership with all Local Authorities, successfully helping to place new volunteers for the maximum benefit of all concerned. We have won awards for the way we work with volunteers, build partnerships with employers, manage our finances and develop our staff.

The services of the One-Stop Shop are FREE to Local Authorities, volunteers, employers and schools.

We are currently engaged in a new and exciting project, funded by V, aimed at strengthening the diversity of schools’ governing bodies by encouraging more young people to volunteer.
