There are several thousand vacancies all across England so there is a good chance that a school in your area will have a vacancy on its governing body. The level of need does vary from area to area but the chances are, if the local authority in which you would like to apply has no vacancies then the adjacent areas will have vacancies. The average placement time is 6 months. However, if you apply in any of the above areas then we are confident that there will be a suitable vacancy and that the placement process will be within 6 months.
