The School Governors' One-Stop Shop (SGOSS) is a small charity that recruits volunteers to be governors in schools across England. It has been in existence since January 2000, recruits across the volunteer spectrum, and works with some of the UK's biggest employers.

SGOSS works in partnership with Local Authorities (LAs) across England. It seeks to provide LAs with governor volunteers for schools with vacancies on their Governing Bodies. Recruitment is focussed on areas where volunteers are most urgently needed and LAs are invited to participate in recruitment events as appropriate.

SGOSS remain in regular contact with LAs about recruitment activities in their areas and there is a regular exchange of information with LAs and volunteers throughout the appointment process.

The SGOSS service is FREE to LAs, schools, volunteers and employers.

SGOSS provides a Direct to Schools service to those authorities who request it, and with particular emphasis on Community and Parent vacancies.
