The NGA Governance Awards 2011

Nominations are now open for the NGA Governance Awards 2011.

There are two awards

  • - The NGA and Governors Wales Outstanding Clerk Award
  • - The NGA Outstanding Governing Body Award (England only)

Applications must be received by 15 November 2010 (12 Noon).

The Outstanding Governing Body Award (England only)

This award is for governing bodies who have demonstrated real leadership. In making these Awards the NGA aims to celebrate good school governance and spread examples of best practice throughout the school governor community.

Entries will initially be judged on a regional basis before the selection of a national winner.  The winners of the Outstanding Governing Body Award will be announced at a prestigious ceremony in March 2011 in front of an invited audience.

The application form for the Outstanding Governing Body Award can be downloaded here.

The NGA Award for Outstanding Clerks

The award aims to celebrate good practice in the clerking of governing bodies in state schools in England and Wales, and to spread examples of best practice.

Governors Wales will hold a ceremony to announce the winner of the Outstanding Clerk of the Year in Wales.

The winner from Wales will then join the English Regional winners at a prestigious national ceremony in March 2011 when the overall Outstanding Clerk of the Year will be announced.

If you live in England, a nomination form for the Outstanding Clerk of the Year Award can be downloaded here.

Governors Wales have their own Outstanding Clerk of the Year Award nonination forms, available to download as an English version or Welsh version.
