EDUCATION AND EMPLOYERS TASK FORCE LAUNCH THEIR “VISIT OUR SCHOOLS” CAMPAIGN

SGOSS is proud to support Visit Our Schools, a week-long event, created to celebrate the partnership between education and employers.

CEOs of Private and Public Sector organisations will visit schools at the invitation of Head Teachers to work out how they can help children reach their full potential. It will be a means for senior managers of industries to listen to schools, their students and teachers; to witness their work at first hand and discuss how they could work together to help young people reach their potential.

Already thousands of employers are working with educational institutions to help young people by offering advice that will prepare them for working life. Involvement in education also benefits employers by engaging with the local community, motivating staff and influencing the life chances of young people – the consumers and workforce of tomorrow.

The event is free to register and to be involved in, and the visits to schools take only 2 hours in Visit Our Schools Week in October.

“To really understand today’s education system, business leaders need to visit schools and have open and practical conversations with head teachers and young people. This will ensure their businesses then work most effectively with the school to help build the pupils’ skills and aspirations.”
Peter Lambert, OBE, Deputy Chief Executive of Business in the Community (BITC)
