Vacancy Information

SGOSS works across England, in 150 Local Authority areas.  There are approximately 300,000 governor places in state schools in England, of which around 40,000 are vacant at any one time.  Vacancies change every day and therefore it is impossible for us to keep an up-to-date list of all these vacancies. 

We do, however, have specialist area managers who oversee specific regions who will be able to advise you of the vacancy situation in your area.  Depending on the area, information can range from individual school vacancies to the areas in which you could make the greatest impact.  To contact one of these advisers simply use the contact details below, stating which area you are interested in volunteering in.
